A Day in South County,

May 20th Lunch
today is at the COAST GUARD HOUSE, listed on the National Register of Historic
Landmarks. After lunch, we’ll sail on an 11-mile narrated nautical tour
aboard the 65 Ft. M/V SOUTHLAND. You’ll view such sights as the
Historic
Point
Judith
Lighthouse, lush beaches,
and the protected waters of the
Harbor
of
Refuge
. Time for shopping is also
included in the lovely
Village
of
Wickford.
Nestled along the waterfront of
Wickford
Harbor, historic Wickford
Village
offers a taste of
New England
as it was a century or more ago. Wickford, on the western
shore
of
Narragansett Bay, is a welcome change. Its 1700s historic homes, churches, gardens and
picturesque harbor offer a glimpse of our nation’s early history.
