FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK

It is Easter. The flowers, the music, the beginning of Spring is a sign of hope and renewed life. This is true in the natural world. But it is also true in our hearts today. Jesus is risen. Calvary’s grief and sadness, fear, anger and despair, has been overcome by something hinted at in ancient religions but now reality. There is life after life. Jesus is alive. Jesus has conquered death. Jesus Christ is our hope and our way to endless life. We thank God today for Jesus. We can face today and tomorrow because He lives. He lives in God’s presence, yes, but He lives in us also through the Spirit the first gift of His resurrection. And when we receive Eucharist He dwells in us because it is our communion with the risen Lord. “I am with you always.” He is not dead, a past hero, but one who shares His life with us, spiritual life that is our source of hope, light and strength.

Sincerely yours in Christ,
FATHER VIN
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE PARISH SO FAITHFULLY AND WE ARE MOST GRATEFUL TO OUR PARISHIONERS WHO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO INCREASE THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS.
