BULLETIN BITS
“The Lord has given me a well trained tongue, that I may know how to speak to the weary a word that will rouse them,” says Isaiah in today’s first reading. The gifts God has given us are likewise given for the good of others. How am I using my gifts?

FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK
Everyone knows that today the Passion narrative is proclaimed with priest, deacon and congregation participating in it. There is a procession with palms recalling the entrance of Jesus into the city of Jerusalem amidst the accolades of praise from the crowds of people there for the feast of Passover. The death of Jesus makes sense when we have faith in His resurrection. Good Friday was not the end, it was the beginning of the Easter glory. We, as Christians, cannot succumb to the reality of death, we must believe in its counterpart, the resurrection. From the cross of Calvary to the Ascension, Jesus has us focus on Him. His death is the fulfillment of the Scriptures. The last chapter has not been written. We await His coming in glory to complete salvation history.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
FATHER VIN
