FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK

Most people have a vague notion that things are not quite right. The weather patterns have changed for the worse; the morality of society has changed; family values are not what they used to be; there is more crime, violence and ecological disasters. All of this has been prophesied in the scriptures. Jesus says in the days of Noah, people went on with their busy lives as though everything was fine. He talks about the day of His coming. No one knows when that will be, but He wants us to be vigilant. From every indication there will be a need for His return because things will be so bad on earth that mankind will be threatened with annihilation. When He comes He will turn it all around. There will be a new heaven and a new earth. He will not destroy us but restore us. Advent is more than a liturgical season, it is a spiritual wake up call to be able to “read the signs of the times”, and be vigilant always “staying awake” spiritually.

Sincerely yours in Christ,
FATHER VIN
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE PARISH SO FAITHFULLY AND WE ARE MOST GRATEFUL TO OUR PARISHIONERS WHO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO INCREASE THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS.
