FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK

Jesus again speaks from the heart. He is not happy with those who are pushy and want the best places, recognition and power. No one really likes someone who steps on others to get ahead, or who thinks he or she is the center of the universe. The Pharisees wanted the best places at table and in society. Not Jesus, He was pleased to serve others. He found real joy and happiness in doing for others without any reward. How we admire His strength and kindness in the midst of hatred and animosity. He humbled Himself in so loving others. Humility is not lack of courage, or strength to do what is right. It has nothing to do with self-deprecation or lack of confidence, or self-hatred. It has everything to do with the truth, for humility is truth about our relationship with God and what God is doing for each one of us. Everyone else is included in that relationship. We cannot love God without loving those around us. True humility recognizes that and that is our repayment.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
FATHER VIN
