FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK

What Jesus says in today’s word cannot have been received too graciously. He was telling His listeners that neither religious heritage or affiliation matters, nor does ethnic and racial lineage. Being a Jew, being a Christian by baptism is not enough to get us ”into heaven” The door is narrow. There are certain requirements. We have to do something about it and that is follow Christ’s way of life. We cannot pick and choose which way we are going to go. There may be diverse ways to worship, but the center of it all is Jesus. Salvation is not a toss-up nor an option. Everyone is called to salvation. Many of Jesus’ contemporaries were going to lose out, because they did not care for His message. Salvation is offered, but we are free to say no. Then we have no one to blame but ourselves.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
FATHER VIN
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE PARISH SO FAITHFULLY AND WE ARE MOST GRATEFUL TO OUR PARISHIONERS WHO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO INCREASE THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS.
