BULLETIN BITS

The parable in today’s Gospel clearly warns that we, like the fig tree, will be judged by our fruit. While God mercifully provides us with time and opportunity, let us give witness to our faith with deeds of kindness and generosity.

IMPORTANT!! PREP NOTICE

FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK

Today’s gospel is a comment by Jesus on two public misfortunes of His day. Pilate had killed some Galileans who were disturbing the peace of Jerusalem, and a tower had fallen and killed 18 men in a place called Siloam. Jesus informs his listeners to be less concerned about the source of misfortune and more concerned about one’s relationship with God. He does not consider violent deaths to be punishment from God. Jesus warns them about the failure of conversion. The same fate could happen to them. To die without Him is to perish.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
FATHER VIN
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE PARISH SO FAITHFULLY AND WE ARE MOST GRATEFUL TO OUR PARISHIONERS WHO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO INCREASE THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS.
