FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK
God had a plan to redeem the world, through His Son, Jesus. He knew the people were not ready, so He gives people time and help. Jesus doesn’t just arrive on the scene and start His mission. John, the Baptist, comes ahead of him, as His public relations man. The people need to be prepared and made aware of what is coming. Repentance and forgiveness of sins through a baptism of water, is John’s cry to the crowds. The One who was coming after John has the power of God, the Holy Spirit. No one can receive the Spirit unless and until the heart, soul and mind have been cleared of the debris of sin. So, Advent is a time of repentance, which means to re-think, re-evaluate our lives, to straighten up and walk with the Lord.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
FATHER VIN
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE PARISH SO FAITHFULLY AND WE ARE MOST GRATEFUL TO OUR PARISHIONERS WHO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO INCREASE THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS.
