FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK

Jesus seemed to shun all kinds of titles and honors when He was on earth. Probably because people had the wrong idea about what His Messiaship meant. He was not another Caesar or Saladin. His Messiaship was a spiritual one. As a King He did not want power or control of peoples or nations, but He was more interested in winning over the hearts of those who met Him. His kingdom was not of this world, because it could not be contained in any place or locale. It was of the spirit, so it included all times and all peoples. Pilate could not understand that. His throne was the cross. Through it, He reversed all that the world considers important –power, titles, control, money, influence, and greed. He emptied Himself to fill us all with His life. Quite a King and so unlike others we’ve heard of.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
FATHER VIN
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE PARISH SO FAITHFULLY AND WE ARE MOST GRATEFUL TO OUR PARISHIONERS WHO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO INCREASE THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS.

When you arise in the morning,
give thanks for the morning light,
for your life and strength.
Give thanks for your food

If you see no reason for giving thanks, maybe the fault lies in yourself.
