BULLETIN BITS

The readings today speak of the end of the world, and the coming of the kingdom. The bishops’ pastoral on stewardship says clearly “that ‘life to come’ is in continuity with this present life through the human goods, the worthy human purposes, which people foster now.” May our good stewardship help us to be numbered among the chosen on the last day!

FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK

The Lord is coming back. The supernatural ET will re-enter the earth’s atmosphere. The early Christians, Paul included, thought it would be in their lifetime . So they asked the same question we do. When will He come? There is global anxiety about war, destruction, earthquakes, violence, terrorism. Our minds are boggled with the horrible evils around us. Yet we cannot give in to despair. Nor can we become preoccupied with predictions of the Lord’s coming. The important thing is this: How will He find us at His arrival. No one knows the day or the hour, but there are signs prophesied in the scriptures. We have to be ready. It may well be that He will come for us each individually in death, but then we still have to be prepared for either event. Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
FATHER VIN
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE PARISH SO FAITHFULLY AND WE ARE MOST GRATEFUL TO OUR PARISHIONERS WHO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO INCREASE THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS.
