FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK

Jesus places love for God and neighbor above all laws, regulations and commandments. Religious observance, though a good thing, fidelity to prayer and Mass, excellent in themselves, do not sum up our “religious” attitude. It is love for one another that is the proof of the pudding. When Jesus spoke of His second coming, He said He will ask a question” “What did you do for your neighbor?” St. John says that we do not love God if we do not love our neighbor. Everything else can be love of self, or concern for our own sanctity, or for our own salvation. It would be so easy to say we love God but we don’t if we do not love those who are not easy to love. Jesus forgave His enemies, and so He entered into Paradise with a clear conscience.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
FATHER VIN
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE PARISH SO FAITHFULLY AND WE ARE MOST GRATEFUL TO OUR PARISHIONERS WHO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO INCREASE THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS.

ELECTIONS

“We encourage all citizens, particularly Catholics, to embrace their citizenship not merely as a duty and privilege, but as an opportunity meaningfully to participate on building the culture of life. Every voice matters in the public forum. We must exercise this right in ways that defend human life, especially those of God’s children who are unborn, disabled or otherwise vulnerable. We get the public officials we deserve.”

JUST A THOT

  • When a train goes thru a tunnel and it gets dark, you don’t throw away your ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer.
  • Do not ask the Lord to guide your footsteps if you are not willing to move your feet.
  • Don’t let your worries get the best of you. Remember, Moses started out as a basket case.
