IT’S HERE, IT’S HERE
(feel free to jump up and down)

FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK
So often in the Hebrew Scriptures God speaks of Himself as a Husband and His people His beloved Bride. He has a banquet of rich food and choice wines, that is, His covenant with them will provide them with all that they need to live on. Yet, Israel did not heed the invitation as the prophets lamented. In today’s gospel, Jesus takes up the theme of the wedding banquet. Since the Jews rejected the invitation it is extended to anyone who will come. The early Church saw this as an invitation to the Gentiles, to the countries and nations that were not Jewish by birth. The exclusion of the man without the wedding garment is interpreted this way: it is the baptismal life which counts, not the baptismal certificate. We are invited to put on Christ and share His love with others.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
FATHER VIN
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE PARISH SO FAITHFULLY AND WE ARE MOST GRATEFUL TO OUR PARISHIONERS WHO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO INCREASE THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS.
