Rehearsal for Baptism will take place this Sunday in the Fr. Anadore Hall at 2 p.m. FROM THE PASTOR’S DESKJesus gives us a prediction that He is going to die by crucifixion. They did not understand and would not ask Him about it. They did not want to hear the truth because they had other ideas of greatness. Their conversation turned to other things, such as who would be the greatest in His kingdom. They were talking about power, authority, wealth and a host of other possibilities. They had no clue as to what kind of kingdom it would be. They are filled with hopes and dreams of positions of prestige and power. Jesus asks them what they were discussing on the road. Embarrassed and flushed they would not answer. Yet Jesus knew what they were talking about. So He places a young child in their midst and teaches them that simplicity and service are the hallmarks of His kingdom. Want to be great? Do good and forget about it.
Sincerely yours in Christ, FATHER VIN | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
