CAN YOU HELP??
We are already recruiting teachers for next year’s Religious Education program 2006-2007. Grades 7,8,9,10 are the grades for which we are most in need (Grades 11 & 12 have enough teachers). If you would consider helping out with the program, please come to an information night in the lower rectory on Thursday, March 16th at 7:00 p.m. This will be a good opportunity to get an overview of each grade, to take a look at the books and teaching materials. If you decide then that you would like to volunteer for a particular grade level, you can either teach your own class or team teach with a friend. We really pray you consider this and come to the meeting. For more information, call Ann Cronin 781-933-9334. Thank you.
PILGRIMAGE TO MEDJUGORGIE
Father Tom Reilly of St. Michael’s Parish, Bedford will be chaplain for this pilgrimage – April 25 to May 5, 2006. Cost is approximately $1,500. Brochures are available at the rectory office for anyone interested.
TAKING INVENTORY OF YOUR GIFTS
The spiritual term for identifying your gifts and determining how they can best be used for service to others is “discernment”, from a Latin word meaning “to sift through”.
Discernment takes time, prayer and reflection. Begin by setting aside some quiet time with no interruptions. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you recognize your gifts and talents. Then ask yourself some questions:
- What are my talents?
- What are my special abilities?
- What skills have I developed?
- What people skills do I have?
- When people compliment me, what do they recognize?
- What do family members see as my best traits?
- What is my job or profession?
- What are my material gifts?
- What activities energize me?
- What difficulties have I overcome?
- What activities in my life have been especially fruitful?
Join us in our Parish Ministries. We invite you.

FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK
Last week the leper was healed. Today the paralytic is cured. The friends of the paralytic are resourceful. They cannot get into the house where Jesus is preaching because there are too many people. So they climb up the outer staircase to the roof, remove the roof of slate and stalks and lower him down into the middle of the room where Jesus is standing. He forgives the man’s sins. The scribes are shocked and scandalized that Jesus would dare claim the power of God to forgive sins. To prove that He did, He commands the crippled man to get up and walk home. He does. Now the point is this. People believed that the man was ill because he had sinned. Now if the sin was not removed, then he could not be healed. So, in healing the man Jesus proved that his sin was forgiven. Jesus has come not to just heal bodies, but souls, spirits, and hearts. He can do both.
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE PARISH SO FAITHFULLY AND WE ARE MOST GRATEFUL TO OUR PARISHIONERS WHO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO INCREASE THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS.

MY OATH TO YOU
When you are sad… I will dry your tears.
When you are scared… I will comfort your fears.
When you are worried… I will give you hope.
When you are confused… I will help you cope.
And when you are lost… And can’t see the light,
I shall be your beacon… Shining ever so bright.
This is my oath… I pledge till the end.
Why you may ask?… Because you’re my friend.
