FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK

How excited the disciples must have been when Jesus invited them to His house. John had pointed Jesus out as the Lamb of God and they were curious to know more about Him. They stayed with him from about 4 o’clock on. No doubt they had a meal with Him and talked about many things. Andrew could not wait to tell his brother, Peter, that he had found the Messiah. Andrew introduced a number of people to Jesus. John was willing to give up his followers to Jesus. He was not interested in the first place, nor was Andrew. Andrew introduced many people to Jesus. He was content to be in the background. Yet Andrew made it possible for many to come to know the Lord. What can we do this week to bring others to Christ?

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE PARISH SO FAITHFULLY AND WE ARE MOST GRATEFUL TO OUR PARISHIONERS WHO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO INCREASE THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS.

COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS

  • If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep…… you are richer than 75% of this world.
  • If you have some money in the bank, in your wallet or purse, and spare change in a dish some place…… you are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy.
  • If you woke up this morning with more health than illness…… you are more blessed than the million who will not survive the week.`
  • If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death…… you are more blessed than three billion people in the world.
  • If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful…… you are blessed because the majority can, and most do not.
