Mass Intentions
Regarding Anniversary, Memorial and Months Mind Masses: So many people honor deceased relatives and friends with Memorial or Anniversary Masses that we desire to accommodate everyone. There is a complication because most people and families prefer to have these Masses on the weekends when their living relatives and families can attend.We are proposing an alternative to accomplish this, since Canon Law does not permit more than one family's intentions to be commemorated at a given Mass.
We recommend that a weekday Mass be celebrated in these cases and then have the family gather at a weekend Mass where they will be acknowledged while still honoring the family for whose intention Mass is being celebrated.
If you wish to schedule a Mass, please call the Parish secretary at the rectory. The usual offering is $20.00 for the parish. (This is an offering, not a "fee" any offering you wish to give is acceptable.)
Note: If you have scheduled a Memorial or Anniversary Mass, we encourage you to bring the gifts up at the Mass. Please see Father or the Deacon before Mass so that this might be arranged.
