The fifth grade recently went on a field trip to the John Adams Historical Site. The students participated in the Pen and Parchment program. Each student took on the persona

of one of the original signers of the Declaration of Independence. It was a wonderful experience!

CAMPBELL’S “LABELS FOR EDUCATION”

PLEASE HELP OUR SCHOOL GET FREE MERCHANDISE!

You can help St. Bridget School earn free merchandise such as, reference books, art supplies, physical education equipment, musical instruments or even computers and software.

It’s easy to pitch in. Simply save the labels and/or caps from any of the following products and place them in the St. Bridget School “Label for Education” collection container provided

at the back of the church by December 15, 2009.

 

The labels (UPC)and bottle caps we are collecting are:

Campbell’s soups, chunky soups, tomato juice, beans, gravies, canned pasta, meal kits and Food service products – Swanson stocks, broths  & canned poultry– V8 vegetable juices,

V8 Splash, V8 Fusion, (caps) and V8 soups – SpaghettiOs Pasta (Original & Meatball) – Prego Italian sauces- Pepperidge Farm breads, cookies, Goldfish & frozen products – Franco

American gravies. Your support is very much appreciated!

 

SAINT BRIDGET SCHOOL HOLIDAY CALENDAR RAFFLE

Students will be selling Raffle calendars after all masses the next three weekends, November 14 & 15, November 21 & 22 and November 28 & 29. There are  $8300.00 in prizes including

a grand prize trip for 4 to Disney. They make great gifts for friends and family. The cost is $20.00 each with 31 chances to win. Thanks for your support.

 

CHILDREN’S CHOIR

The children’s choir is accepting new members. All that is required is that the child be at least kindergarten age and love to sing. We practice three Wednesdays a month at 4:30 in the church

meeting room and sing three Sundays a month at the 9:30 family liturgy. If you are interested please call Terri at 781-878-0900 or just come Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m.! It’s a great way to get

involved in liturgy, learn about it, learn leadership skills and have fun in the process. Reminder: NO PRACTICE November 11th because of the Veteran’s Day Holiday.

 

CHRISTMAS CHOIR

Anyone interested in singing on Christmas Eve – either 4:00 PM Mass or 9:00 PM Mass (or both) is cordially invited to attend rehearsals immediately following the Saturday 4:00 PM Mass on

the following dates:

 

                        November 7

                        November 21

                        November 28

                        December 5

                        December 19

 

We will learn one anthem and sing carols. Come and lift your voice to the Lord!

you receive in the mail.

 

LECTOR WORKBOOKS

The Lector Workbooks are now available in the sacristy, please pick them up at your convenience. Thank you.

 

 

REPORT ON OFFERTORY CONTRIBUTIONS

In order to eliminate this current shortfall and to meet the 2009/10 fiscal year budgeted amount of $382,500.00, an additional $538.24 in contributions would be required each week. Thank you

for your continued generosity.

 

Our monthly Emergency/Maintenance collection budget is $5,833.00. Last week’s collection totaled $4,863.00 due to your additional support. This collection is used towards the repayment of

our loan to the Archdiocese (currently at a balance of $16,238.31), as well as, other emergency issues that arise. Again, your generosity to this collection is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

 

ATTENTION 7th & 8th GRADE PARENTS

Let’s get the youth group going so we can serve our community and have fun. There will be a meeting for parents of interested youth. Bring your ideas and questions to meeting on Sunday,

BOY SCOUT FOOD DRIVE.

The Boy Scout Drive for collection of non-perishable food items for St. Vincent de Paul Society Food Bank will be held on November 14. The Boy Scouts will leave bags at homes on November 7

for pickup on November 14. Thank You!

 

LIFT –CATHOLIC WORSHIP FOR A NEW GENERATION

Join us for LIFT – an exciting monthly worship event which includes vibrant praise and worship music, dynamic, challenging speakers and Eucharistic Adoration.  LIFT is for all ages. Come on
