The second collection next weekend, July 5/6 will be our regular monthly Maintenance/Emergency Collection.

PARISH TITHE

The parish tithe for this week goes to assist St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50,

Memphis, TN 38101-9929. These dollars will further their research into finding cures for childhood cancers.

Our support means St. Jude will never turn a sick child away because of a family’s inability to pay.

 

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION

PLEASE NOTE: Because of the 4th of July holiday, our monthly Eucharistic Adoration will be held on

Friday, July 11 from 12 noon to 8:00 p.m. The intention this month is for vocations. Sign up sheets will

be in the foyer of the church. Please stop in!

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Summer is here and Religious Education classes are over. Now the process of planning for a new year begins.

If you feel like that you might be called to this special ministry as a teacher, aide, monitor, etc. please call

the office 781-878-5950.  Even if you cannot volunteer we ask that you please pray for this program which is

such an important part of St. Bridget Parish.

 

 

PLEASE NOTE: Any teacher who has a teacher manual and attendance card please leave them at the rectory by

JULY 1ST!

 

FIRST COMMUNION PICTURES

The First Communion pictures are all in now and may be picked up at the rectory during office hours

Monday – Friday  9:00AM – 5:00PM and Saturday from 12 Noon to 5:00 PM.

HOOD SOX TOPS FOR KIDS

Hood Sox Tops for Kids is a program presented by HP Hood LLC and Red Sox Kid Nation that allows schools to earn

money by collecting and redeeming Sox Tops for Kids caps from packages of Hood Milk in the LightBlock Bottles.

These caps are worth 5 cents each when redeemed by registered schools. There will be a box in the foyer of the

Church. If you have any of these caps it would be greatly appreciated if you could deposit them in the box.

CAN YOU HELP US?

We had an unexpected problem arise this past weekend when an electrical pole caught on fire and damaged wiring

that affected the school and friary buildings. It has turned out that it has been a very large expense to repair and

we are asking if you could consider any extra donation you might be able to give to help us out with this expense.

Thank you for all you do, it is very much appreciated!

 

 

“ARISE TOGETHER IN CHRIST”

As you pack your bags and head out to your summer destinations, the ARISE Together in Christ Parish Planning team

wishes you a peaceful and relaxing summer season.  While you are soaking up the summer sun and fun, we will be

busy planning our parish’s first season of the new spiritual renewal process that is sweeping the Archdiocese of

Boston – ARISE Together in Christ.

 

When you get back, look for more details on how you can get involved in this process that offers the opportunity for

new friendships, stronger faith, and a deeper relationship with God through prayer and the Scriptures in a small-group

setting. Sign-up Weekend is September 13-14, 2008.

MAGNIFICAT PILGRIMAGE OF HOPE – OCTOBER 11 & 12 IN BOSTON

All are invited to attend the MAGNIFICAT PILGRIMAGE OF HOPE, a two day renewal of faith celebrating the Archdiocese of Boston bicentennial,

on Saturday, October 11 and Sunday, October 12, in Boston, MA.  Pilgrimage of Hope attendees will hear from leading Catholic thinkers in

16 specialized sessions on a range of faith topics, including: the Eucharist; the Scriptures, Lectio Divina; the saints; ancient Christian writers;

sacred music and art; Catholic parenting; and the theological virtue of hope. Attendees will join together for two celebrations of the Holy Mass,

prayers for the morning and evening, a Saturday evening concert, a Sunday brunch ad a special presentation on the 150th Anniversary of Our

Lady’s apparition in Lourdes, France. 

 

The Pilgrimage, to be held at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, is sponsored by MAGNIFCAT, the monthly Catholic prayer booklet

and worship aid. Special guests will include Cardinal Sean O’Malley, O.F.M. Cap., as well the archbishops of Bordeaux and Toulouse, France.
