For almost two years, Sacred Heart Parish has had a Tridentine Mass. A group of people desired that the Latin Mass be said

here at the parish. With the exception of a few Monday evenings, that Mass was said at the request of the group. The only

stipulation was that a stable and suitable amount of people attend the Mass. For several months, with the exception of a

few Monday evenings, there have been less than a handful of people in attendance. Last week only 2 people attended.

Unfortunately, this clearly indicates that the desire for this Mass has waned. Therefore, beginning in February the Tridentine

Mass will be said only once a month and in some cases more in order to fulfill the already scheduled intended Masses.

The schedule for the Mass is as follows:

• February 1st March 1st

• April 5th & 12th May 3rd

• June 7th July 5th & 19th

• August 2nd,9th,16th, & 23rd

• Sept. 6th & 20th Oct. 11th & 18th

• November 15th December 13th

The Archconfraternity of Catholic Women would like to take this opportunity in advance to wish you and your family a

Joyous Christmas and a Blessed New Year. The Archconfraternity of Catholic Women is a new group of women here

at Sacred Heart, who are greatly involved within the parish. We teach CCD, volunteer at East Boston Central Catholic,

help with events and visit local nursing homes and assisted living centers. Please consider joining our little group of

dedicated women. The group is open to all Catholic women from high school and up. We would love to have you be

part of our faith-filled group., Our meetings take place in the Church Hall, Monsignor Killian Hall, on the 2nd Saturday

of every month after the 4pm mass. For your convenience, listed below is the 2010 meeting schedule.

Thomas More College Winter Open House

Sacred Heart Parish Youth Group Just a reminder that the Sacred Heart Parish Youth Group meets every Friday

evening at 6:00 p.m. Any child over 8 years old is welcome.

A Marian Prayer Group has been established here at Sacred Heart. The group meets every Tuesday evening at 6:00

to pray the Rosary and reflect upon the History and Theology of Mary. Deacon A.J. leads the group. The group meets

 in the rectory meeting room.

Confessions are offered Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and on Saturday from 3:00 p.m.

to 3:30 p.m. This is in response the statement issued by the Vatican in which many people have lost a sense of

the Sacrament of Confession and that it’s availability was limited in many parishes.
