N

ós somos muito como os discípulos de Emáus. Tanto o testemunho do Velho Testamento como o do Novo estão às nossas vistas. Mas raramente nós reflectimos sobre eles. Pouca é a influência que eles têm na nossa vida quotidiana. Dá para perguntar: se o Cristo ressuscitado nos aparecesse hoje, se faria alguma diferença na maneira como vivemos?

 e are all much like the disciples from Emmaus. Not only is the testimony of the Old Testament but all that of the New Testament available to us. How seldom we reflect on it; how little influence it has on our daily acts. We can wonder if even the risen Christ appeared to us, would it make any great difference in how we live each day?

Primeira comunhão:

Ensaio – O ensaio será no Sábado dia 12 de Abril às 9:30 AM.

Primeira Eucaristia – A Missa da Primeira Comunhão será celebrada no Domingo dia 13 de Abril às 9:00 AM.

 Não haverá Missa às 10:00 AM.

 

Novos Acessórios – Sem dúvida que já notaram os dois acessórios adicionados à nossa Bonita Igreja: a nova Placa identificativa na frente da Igreja e o Expositor de óleos na parede do lado esquerdo na direcção da fonte baptismal. O expositor tem o nome de “AMBRY” e contém os óleos sagrados que são benzidos todos os anos, pelo Bispo, durante a semana santa, para os diferentes sacramentos: Extrema Unção e Bençãos Sacramentais ao longo do ano. O óleo do meio é o mais sagrado – Óleo da Crisma (SC) – é usado para o sacramento do Baptismo, Confirmação e Sacramento da Ordem (Sacerdotal). O óleo na esquerda é o - Óleo da Extrema Unção (OI) – é usado para o sacramento de Unção dos Enfermos. O óleo na direita é o - Óleo Catecúmeno  (OS) – é usado no sacramento do Baptismo.

 

Ultreia REGIONAL DO MCC – O Secretariado do MCC – MA, convida todos os cursistas para a Ultreia Regional Anual, a realizar-se no Salão de Nossa Senhora de Fátima - Peabody, no próximo Domingo, dia 13 de Abril, às 2:30 PM, com Missa pelas 4h30 PM. NORTH SHORE COMMUNITY ACTION PROGRAMS – O NSCAP é uma agência que serve todos os pobres das cidades de Peabody, Salem, Beverly, e Danvers. Com o objectivo de angariar fundos para as actividades do programa de auxílio aos necessitados, haverá um jantar de caridade e leilão, no Sábado,dia 12 de Abril das 6:00 às 10:00 pm, no Salão da Irmandade do Espírito Santo, 20 Holley St, Peabody. First Communion:

Rehearsal - Rehearsal for First Communion is on Saturday, April 12 at 9:30 AM.

First Eucharist - First Communion Mass will be celebrated on Sunday, April 13 at the 9:00 AM Mass.

There will be no 10:00 AM Mass on this Sunday.

 

New Additions to our church – No doubt you have noticed the two additions to our beautiful Church: the new sign on the front lawn and the case containing the holy oils in the area of the baptismal font. The case is correctly called an AMBRY and contains the holy oils that are blessed by the Bishop during Holy week each year for different sacraments, anointing and blessings throughout the year. The oil in the middle is the most sacred oil – the oil of chrism – (SC) – and is used in the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Orders. The oil on the left is the – Oil of the Sick – (OI) – and is used in the sacrament of the anointing of the sick. The oil on the right is the – Oil of Catechumen – (OS) – and is used in the sacrament of Baptism.

 

EUCHARISTIC mINISTERS AND READERS – We need volunteers who are willing to serve the community as Ministers of the Eucharist, Readers, and Acolytes. If you are interested in any of these ministries; please call the office (978 532 0272).

The community Action event is a Key fundraising activity that will allow NSCAP to continue providing creative, broad based and effective strategies on the North Shore to combat poverty, while helping people become self-reliant, empowered and engaged. Coming up a Charity Dinner and Auction on Saturday, April 12th,, at 6:00-10:00 pm, at the Holy Ghost Cultural Center, 20 Holley St, Peabody. Please support our Charity Fundraiser. Thank you.
