Everyone needs affirmation
In response to the Pope's dedication of the first half of 2010 for priests and vocation, the Spiritual Development Committee encourages everyone to show your appreciation by thanking your priest for giving his life to you and to the Lord.
Recognize how much work goes into making the community spiritually enriched. Tell your priest when you like something he did or the way in which he handled a situation. You may want to drop him an encouraging and thank you note. Please come by the information desk and pick up your Special Note Paper. We will be posting them all for the Thanksgiving Celebration. We will need these notes dropped off and returned by 11/15.
Flu Season Directives
To prevent the spread of contagious diseases during this flu seasons, especially with the risks related to the H1N1 flu, the Archdiocese of Boston directs the following for the celebration of the Sacred Liturgy:
The distribution of the Precious Blood for the faithful is suspended.
The exchange of Sign of Peace is to be offered without any physical contact.
Please avoid holding hands during the Lord's Prayer.
While receiving the Holy Communion on the tongue is still an option, please consider receiving it in the hand. Ministers of Holy Communion must take care not to touch the tongue or the hand of the communicant.
Please stay home if you are ill.
