Hello. My name is Mark and I am the Pastor of Nerang Catholic Parish on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. (See ‘Where I Live’).

I have been ordained a Catholic Priest for thirteen years. The Parish of Nerang encompasses urban and rural settlements and takes in much of the beautiful hinterland forests, mountains and waterfalls.
The Parish has a Primary School serving two hundred and twenty families and their children from preschool to year seven.

We have two church gathering spaces. St Brigids, our main centre at Nerang and St Johns, our smaller rural community at Beechmont.

There are presently twenty eight ministries groups in our parish involved in activities that vary from Play Group, childrens’ church and Sacrimental preparation team to liturgy planning, Prison visitation and Over 50’s activity gatherings.

We value inclusion and welcome over exclusion, tolerance and understanding over prejudice, bias and discrimination and forgiveness over hostility and revenge.

In my spare time I enjoy the movies and live theatre, meeting friends, bush walking and surf swimming and reading for pleasure and learning.
