REDEMPTORISTINE NUNS:
Situated outside our Enclosure, but adjacent to the Monastery, are self-contained Retreat-Units and single Guest-Rooms suitable for individual or small groups, and providing for quiet reflective days of prayer and retreat.
Here one may "experience God" in the peaceful Monastic setting, sharing the Holy Mass, Divine Office and the Contemplative life of the nuns, without any obligation or commitment to the Order. Arrangements may be made to speak with the Prioress in the parlour.
When candidates seem to us to show authentic signs of a Redemptoristine Vocation, we offer them the opportunity of an initial Monastic experience within our community, to assist in the discernment of their vocation. This opportunity may take the form of several visits, which, altogether, must not exceed three months.
During this time, we seek to discern in those who present themselves, the human and spiritual qualities necessary to live the Redemptoristine life and especially to discern the signs of a true call from God. Living among us, the candidate is enabled to experience, understand and progressively share our communal contemplative life.
We try not to be too quick in accepting or refusing candidates who come to us from a world which is continual transformation.
A candidate who requests admission to the Monastery with a view to becoming a member, and who is accepted, becomes a Postulant.
