The enclosed Discalced Carmelites Nuns of the Monastery of the Holy Child Jesus of Prague, and of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, GOONELLABAH ( a suburb of Lismore, N.S.W.) are daughters of St. Teresa of Jesus.
Our Holy Mother wants us to be true friends of the Lord, forming small communities dedicated to prayer in silence and recollection. Here we find the environment favourable to the undisturbed reception of the message of Him who speaks "without any sound of words"
(St. Teresa's Way of Perfection, 25.2). Here, in serenity and peace, His presence unites us and leads us to a sincere and mutual giving in joy.
