CONGREGATION OF THE ADORERS OF THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS OF MONTMARTRE O.S.B.

(The Tyburn Nuns)

A contemplative Congregation founded in 1889 at Montmartre, Paris by Mother Mary of St. Peter who, in 1903 brought her religious family to England and settled at Tyburn.

At present the Congregation has, as well as its Mother House in England, one monastery in each of the following countries - Scotland, Ireland, Peru, Australia and New Zealand.

Tyburn Abbey
Tyburn Priory Church

Consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Congregation is one close-knit family, entirely dedicated to divine worship in the liturgy and in the perpetual adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. It seeks to draw down, through the Heart of Jesus, abundant graces for the Holy Father, the Church, and for all nations and people.

The community is strictly enclosed, but provides hospitality for persons wishing to make a private retreat or to spend few days in silent recollection and prayer.

For this purpose the Tyburn Priory at Riverstone, N.S.W. has a retreat house and, in the guests' area of the property, a shrine of Our Lady Help of Christians to which all visitors are welcome.
