PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH & CHILDREN

Scouting | Youth Choir | Junior CYO Sports Program | Nursery

Scouting

The scouting programs promote and develop the principles of good citizenship, fellowship, and love of the outdoors. Leaders help scouts gain self-confidence through activities in a Christian environment. There are programs for Brownies, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Boy Scouts.

Junior Choir

The St. Ann Junior Choir is for parish children in 3rd through 8th grades. The Junior Choir replaces the adult choir at Family Masses (one Sunday each quarter during the 9:30 Mass) and other special occasions. If you love music and like to sing, please join the St. Ann's Youth Choir. Practices are on Thursday afternoons from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the music room at St. Ann School. For more information please contact Mrs. Margie Fransen: JFran73210@aol.com or the Religious Education office at (703) 528-6199.

Junior CYO Sports Program

The Youth Sports Program provides an excellent opportunity for parish children and others in grades 3 through 8 to participate in adult supervised Northern Virginia Junior Catholic Youth Organization athletics. The program develops team and individual skills and instills the principles of good sportsmanship within a Christian environment in sports such as track and field, tennis, basketball, baseball, and softball.

Nursery

A cooperative nursery is provided for toddlers during the 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. Masses on Sundays. Parents who take advantage of this service are asked to take turns providing supervision in the nursery.
